Labor Day Family Camp

September 4-7, 2009

“Making Connections”

 

Come enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe and Camp Noel Porter with your family while enjoying a family friendly program and plenty of FREE-time. You will also be making a contribution to the camp by helping to winterize the camp.  We will be taking down the tents, putting up storm windows, stacking wood, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors,  putting way beds, mattresses, and whatever else needs to be done to secure the camp for the winter.

The following is the Program Itinerary for the weekend so families can plan their trip:

Friday Sept 4, 09:                Arrival anytime after 1:00pm (no dinner or program offered this day)

 

Saturday Sept 5, 09:           Wake-up call/Showers                                                                        7:00 am

                                                Eat Lunch on site/ pack lunch to take on family outings            12:00 pm

                                                Free-time for on your own family outings                                      12:00-5:00 pm

Ideas for family outings during the day to be planned by individual families (this will not be part of the program that the leader will be facilitating): Rent bikes, rafting (if there is water), hiking at local areas, beach and swimming, Squaw Valley area activities (shopping, possible events, tram ride to get to roller skating, and swimming).

Cost per person (includes 8 meals per person):

 

¯13 years old and up is $100.00 each ¯5 through 12 years is $50.00 each ¯0 through 4 is FREE

(i.e.: a family with two adults & two children between the ages of 5 and 12 is $300). What a deal for up to 3 nights/ 4 days, family programming, food, and family time in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Lake Tahoe!

 

Lodging will be assigned on a first come~first serve basis.  Please put how many rooms/tents/spaces you need and mark your first choice and your second choice. (Cost is the same regardless of lodging choice)
